We Eat More Than We Need

Let's discuss some facts on what we are made from and what is the major information system that we provide to the body. First of all, it is clear that we are capable to starve ourselves to death and in contrary we can over eat and again make our body die. Human body is extremely capable of pushing our limits to new records. This is the area of continuous research and study.

The current world is controlled/slaved and liberated at the same time by "data". So, how much power "data" has over our life? We can be misdirected or even mistreated as commodity just because we contribute to the system and help them to create free "data". So, let's understand about some keys to control the data and segregate the good and bad data.

The food that we eat is the "data" to the body. It is the major information system that we solely receive from outside world. The food we eat make our cells and tissues. If we have good data coming in, we will be liberated and in contrary if we are giving bad data to the body we will be slaved. We need to use our due diligence to choose our food. We can control what is in our reach, living liberated is in our reach.

Based upon my research, to add some points to "you are what you eat" you are also what your ancestors ate. This extra genetic inheritance we derived is beyond our control and we need to understand this fact in microlevel to get the real idea about fuel we need. There is tremendous variation in what foods humans can thrive on, depending on genetic inheritance. Everyone can be analyzed and recommended right type of food based upon their genetic inheritance.

Now, Let's discuss about experiments I did to my body for 30 days:

Experiment: Eating one meal a day (OMAD) inclined heavily to Keto Diet.

How Did I Start:

As I used to do 2 meal a day for long time, it was not difficult for me to adjust to one meal. I used to do one meal at 12PM and second meal at 6PM. I condensed them to 2PM as just one meal.

My Diet:

My food consists of red fatty meat and vegetables. For vegetables primarily I ate Asparagus, Cabbage, Cucumber, Avocado and Broccoli stir fried with butter and animal fat. I avoided all grains, high fructose veggies, all seed oil such as canola, sunflower etc. I also ate walnuts and cheese in small amount. I never counted calories. I ate until I feel satisfied.

How Did I feel:

Initial few days, I had minor headaches, which I assumed to be minor and due to decrease in blood sugar level. As soon as my body adapted to keto diet and used fat as primary source of fuel, I felt no hunger. Only drawback was I started enjoying the keto food less and less. But as it was the experiment for one month, I survived.

Results:

Initial Body weight: 193 lb

Final Body weight: 175 lb

I feel great when I lost 18 lb weight. I'm 6' tall, just for the reference. I used a tracking device to measure body fat percentage and muscles mass. I lost some muscle mass too but in small amount. All of my indicators reverted back to green and my primary goal was achieved.

My Verdict:

OMAD is very much beneficial and sustainable over keto. Balancing your food and doing OMAD will be powerful hack which can be satisfying and sustainable. Keto can be jump start to force body to push the limits and gain short term goal.

There are several blogs and vlogs that I followed for healthy keto food. One of them is Dr. Berry's Vlogs which has several good information about keto diet. I also watched several vlogs from Tom Bilyeu . For the spiritual perspective, I follow Jagadish Vasudev and learned so many things from him.
